How To Convert Pro Scooter From Snow To Street Scooter

Here are instructions on how to convert a Pro Scooter from a Snow Scooter to a Street Scooter. E-mail us at: support@railzusa.com if you have any additional questions.

Step 1 – Remove rear axle & bolt using two 5mm hex keys.

Step 2 – Axle, axle bolt & bushings removed from rear ski.

Step 3 – Remove front axle & axle bolt from front ski using two 5mm hex keys.

Step 4 – Axle & axle bolt removed from front ski.

Pro Step 4

Step 5 – Remove brake pivot bolt & nut using 8mm wrench and 4mm hex key.

Step 6 – Brake pivot bolt, nut, and spring removed.

Step 7 – Locate wheel brake and insert brake pivot bolt through scooter base and one side of brake pivot bolt hole.

Step 8 – Insert brake spring into place, ensure 90 degree bend goes into scooter base channel.

Step 9 – Push the spring coil into place while driving the brake pivot bolt through the hole in the spring coil using 4mm hex key. Continue to drive pivot bolt through the opposite brake hole and scooter base hole.

Step 10 – Install 8mm nut and use 8mm wrench and 4mm hex key to tighten the brake pivot bolt.

Step 11 – Locate a wheel, rear axle & axle bolt, and bushings.

Step 12 – Insert rear axle through scooter base and install one of the bushings on the axle.

Step 13 – Install wheel and push axle through wheel (note: there is an internal bushing in the wheel hub that needs to be lined up with the axle).

Step 14 – Insert second bushing and push axle through the bushing.

Step 15 – Install rear axle bolt into axle hole on opposite side and then tighten the axle using two 5mm hex keys.

Step 16 – Finished conversion from snow scooter to street scooter.

Step 17 – Reverse process to convert back to snow scooter.

Attach Handle Bar To Pro Scooter

Here are instructions on how to attach the handle bar to the Pro Scooter, Model BD 5.0.

Step 1 – Locate the handle bar and the scooter base.

Step 2 – Line up the handle bar and the scooter base. Ensure that the handle bar clamp bolts are towards the rear of the scooter and ensure that the taper of the front fork is towards the rear of the scooter.

Step 3 – Push the handle bar onto the scooter base head tube (ensure that the handle bar is perpendicular to the front ski) and then tighten the three clamp bolts using the 5mm hex key.

How To Convert From Snow Scooter To Wheel Scooter

Here are instructions for converting your Railz Conversion Scooter from a Snow Scooter to a Wheel Scooter. These instructions only apply to the Youth and Full Size Street and Snow Scooters.

Step 1 – Remove rear axle bolt using two 5mm hex keys.

Step 1

Step 2 – Axle bolt removed from rear ski.

Step 2

Step 3 – Remove front axle bolt using two 5mm hex keys.

Step 3

Step 4 – Remove brake axle bolt using 8mm wrench and 4mm hex key.

Step 4

Step 5 – Brake axle bolt and spring removed from Scooter & Brake.

Step 5

Step 6 – Insert wheel axle bolt through the rear axle mount and wheel (align axle bolt through wheel bearings and internal bearing spacer).

Step 6

Step 7 – Insert axle bolt from opposite side of axle and use two 5mm hex keys to tighten (ensure that wheel still spins freely).

Step 7

Step 8 – Locate wheel brake, axle, nut and spring.

Step 8

Step 9 – Start axle bolt through wheel brake and spring.

Step 9

Step 10 – Use 4mm hex key with twisting motion to compress spring and allow axle to be pushed through opposite side holes.

Step 10

Step 11 – Install the 8mm nut on the brake axle bolt and tighten using a 4mm hex key and 8mm wrench.

Step 12 – Completed conversion to wheeled scooter, reverse process to convert back to snow scooter.

How To Open A Railz Scooter

Here are instructions for Railz Recreational Scooters:

Step 1 – Lift the bail on the lynch pin and swing it away from the pin.

Step 1

Step 2 – Pull lynch pin out.

Step 2

Step 3 – Swing handle bar up to the open position.

Step 3

Step 4 – Insert the lynch pin into the open position hole (upper hole).

Step 4

Step 5 – Push lynch pin through the brackets (pin will fit tight and will need to be aligned and manipulated to get pin pushed through the brackets).

Step 5

Step 6 – Snap lynch pin bail down over the exposed end of the pin.

Step 6

Step 7 – Locate the safety bolt (attached to scooter in a zip bag).

Step 7

Step 8 – Push the bolt through the bracket as shown.

Step 8

Step 9 – Install the threaded bolt from the other side.

Step 9

Step 10 – Tighten the safety bolt using the 5mm hex wrenches provided.
